Yamaha YHT-690 5.1 Ch. Home Theater System is a powerful home theatre system along with a SIRIUS Satellite Radio. It is a wonderful unit with XM and XM HD Surround system powered by Neural Surround. It has 5.1 channels and that is 5 main speakers and one subwoofer to provide an effect to the sound system. It has a direct mode for high quality sound reproduction. The radio has a 40-station preset tuning and has an auto preset tuner too.

This home theatre is compatible with both iPod and Bluetooth, the wireless audio receiver. The YPAO is for automatic speaker setup. The front panel mini jacks inputs are for connecting portable audio player. It also has an on-screen display of title of songs that are played. This DVD player supports High-Definition JPEG picture playback. It has 4 SCENE buttons that offers greater operating ease.
The 5.1 channel is a powerful surround system which needs 105 W each for 5 speakers and 100W for the only subwoofer. The subwoofer is an 8 inches YST subwoofer which is for powerful bass response. It has Burr-Brown 192 kHz/24-bit DAC’s used in all channels. The DVD player has HDTV compatible component video terminals which provide a high picture quality.
